Welcome to 2010 Volleyball Season.

Should be another great year for all Sunset Teams. The Varsity returns 9 players to a team that finished 3rd in State last year.

Try Outs

1. Try outs (see practice schedules on the web site).

2. Paper work for kids–everyone must have a parent permission slip signed. All Freshmen and Juniors must have a physical. These must be o the forms from Sunset High School (athletic office–Lisa Smith or Pete Lukich). All new players to Sunset need to check with the athletic office to see if they need a physical.

NOTE: There will be an oportunity for your daughter to get a physical at Sunset High School on Tuesday August 10th for $ 15. The time frame will be from 6-9 pm (same time as the camp). We will send the kids in during camp.

3. All players must have Athletic Office Clearance with paper work before they can try out for a Sunset Team.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

The updated practice schedule is up for all four teams. Please check your days/times. Now that we are in full swing of the Metro League season, practice and games will occur on a more routine basis.

TOURNAMENTS

Varsity wins the Lakeridge tournament by beating Lincoln in the finals! JV2 White comes in second at the Mckay tournament! JV2 Purple wins the Century tournament! Good job girls!

The 2008 Season

Sunset High School had another great season – finishing tied for 2nd place in the Metro League and finished ranked 10th in state. The season record including tournament matches was 29 wins, 6 losses and 2 ties. Only Jesuit had more wins than Sunset this year in the entire state.

In addition, Sunset placed 6 players on the all-league teams, and Coach Salness was honored with co-coach of the year award.
